Now is the Time

-Now is the time to worship. Now is the time to stand. Now is the time for me to fall down on my knees and give you all that I am.-

It’s time for us to rise. Rise up sleeper. Now is the time that the world needs you to shine like a burning flame in the middle of a dark night. When the electricity goes out and all goes dark, we need a candle or flashlight to find our way. My friends, the “electricity” has been metaphorically going out in the world for a long time.

Currently, the one thing the world is going through together is uncertainty. These are crazy times. Will you be one of the silent ones, or one of the mouths? Will you be one of the arrogant ones or the one who walks in peace? Will you be one that pursues your opinion, or the opinion of Christ? Will you be one that loves your enemy or the one that hurls insults upon them? It’s time to choose. Choose.

I don’t care about your political views. I don’t care about your personal views. I care about your walk with Christ. He is the light in the darkness and He has called us to be His ambassadors. That means we shine too :). When the world is scared let us show it that we don’t have to be afraid, “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out all fear.” 1 John 4:18 The Bible also says that “God IS love” 1 John 4:8 therefore there is no fear in God, but He (perfect love) casts out all fear.

So we followers of Jesus don’t have to worry about friendships, family, finances, health, politics or the millions of other things there are to worry about because we are in God’s hands. Does that mean hardship won’t come? No. But it means you’ll make it through because God is with you.

You don’t need me to tell you what to do. You need to get in the Bible :). Whether you’ve been walking with Christ a long time, or you just met Him, we need to get in the word of God. We need to read it and ask God to give us the strength to overcome our flesh and follow it. The world is ready, ready to see the light. You can’t choose what they do with that light, but you choose if you’re going to let that light shine in you :).

“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” Luke 10:2  “You are the Light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead they put it on its stand and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in Heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16
