Devotional #13 Taking a Stand for Christ “Life’s too short to be a coward.” We have to be willing to lose friends on social media, lose our jobs, lose our reputation, and be ready to lose friends and family in real life for taking a stand for Christ. This age we live in is becoming more polarized. Believing in the Bible is not “politically correct.” When you take a stand for Christ, Satan will use people to come after you. They will get offended, try to get you cancelled, and they will speak lies about you. Here are a few things we believe that are not politically correct: •We believe we all need a Savior because of our sin •We believe in the creation of the world (over evolution) •We believe Jesus when He said in John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the father but by me.” Can you imagine how many fb friends Jesus would have lost if he posted that?! People would have been offended because He didn’t preach “all paths lead to God and to heaven.” There will come times when people ask you questions or put you on the spot. Your beliefs in the Bible are not what they want to hear. But will you be true to the Lord, or will you betray your faith to please them? People are not worth betraying God for. But they are worth laying your life down for so they can see Jesus in you. We must pray for those who persecute us. Let our courage and love speak to them. Here is a simple prayer below of things we can pray for them, “Lord Jesus, I pray these people that come against me because of you, would be drawn to you. Lord, please set them free of the chains of this world. Give them eyes to see you. Give them courage to follow you. Let them experience your amazing love and grace. Amen.” Proverbs 28:1 “The righteous are bold as a lion.” 2 Timothy 4:3 “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions…”

Devotional #19-Overcomers

God often uses the difficulties we’ve gone through to help others. I don’t believe He necessarily brings those difficulties on us. But He allows them to happen and He is with us through them. Seeing a
